Ukraine needs more weapons to counter Russia's aggression. If Western countries do not increase the supply of weapons to Ukraine, the situation at the front will become more complicated, states Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

"The situation on the front line is very complicated. It has never been easy since February 24, 2022, and if someone thinks that the situation is easy, then these are people who do not understand war," Danilov said.

However, according to the NSDC secretary, the supply of weapons to Russia from Iran and North Korea has led to "some changes" in the situation at the front. In such a scenario, Danilov emphasized that if the West does not significantly increase the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, "the situation will really get complicated."

"We need weapons, weapons, weapons," the NSDC Secretary said.

Danilov also commented on the situation with the delay in the allocation of aid to Ukraine in the U.S. Congress. According to him, each delay affects the situation at the front, but Ukraine will not stop in its efforts to counter Russian aggression.

"If we are asked: will we stop? We will not stop, we will defend our country. We have no other alternative, we have no other way out. And we very much hope that our partners will realize that our independence is under threat, as well as the image, credibility, and unity of the entire West... I am more than confident that U.S. support will be provided in the near future," he added.

Western assistance to Ukraine

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Western countries have been helping Ukrainian troops repel the enemy. Western countries, including NATO members, have been supplying Ukraine with weapons, equipment, and other military aid.

Recently, Dutch Defense Minister Keesa Ollongren emphasized that there should be no restrictions when it comes to military assistance to Ukraine.
