IDF strikes Hezbollah targets in Lebanon used to attack Israel
The Israeli Air Force has destroyed launch sites used by Hezbollah militants to attack the Israeli cities of Acre and Ahihud. Additionally, dozens of terrorists have been eliminated within Lebanese territory, according to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).
Israeli military operations took place on Friday evening, November 8. The strikes targeted terrorist command centers located in a civilian area near the city of Tyre in southern Lebanon.
Furthermore, strikes were carried out against numerous weapons depots and terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
Over the past day, Israeli forces have eliminated dozens of terrorists in the region.
"These strikes are part of the IDF's continuous efforts to dismantle and degrade Hezbollah's capabilities and restrict the organization's ability to restore them," the IDF states.
Israel-Hezbollah war
Over the past year, large-scale fighting has erupted between Israel and the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah. The Islamists continuously target Israel in support of the Hamas group, against which Israel is engaged in military operations in the Gaza Strip.
Since October 1, the IDF has launched a ground operation in southern Lebanon aimed at eliminating militants and reducing the number of attacks.
Recently, the IDF attacked Hezbollah storage facilities in Syria, including residential buildings in the city of Al-Qusayr in Homs.
Israeli forces also recently eliminated the chief of Hezbollah's intelligence unit.
