'I like him': Trump speaks about his good relationship with Zelenskyy
Former US President Donald Trump has a good relationship with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Trump appreciates the actions of the Ukrainian leader during the impeachment scandal, according to an interview with the former American leader for The Washington Post.
"I had a good relationship with Zelenskyy. I like him," Trump stated.
According to the former US president, this is due to Zelenskyy's actions during the scandal involving the potential impeachment.
The Ukrainian leader did not confirm that in 2019, Trump demanded compromising information on Joe Biden from him in a phone call in exchange for military aid. Otherwise, Trump could have faced impeachment.
"He (Zelenskyy - ed.) could have said he didn’t know the (conversation - ed.) was taped. But instead of grandstanding and saying, ‘Yes, I felt threatened,’ he said, ‘He did absolutely nothing wrong,'" added the American politician.
