Russian forces attacked railway and port infrastructure overnight, causing several fires, according to the Ukrainian Air Force Telegram channel.

"On the night of March 7, the enemy carried out a combined strike on Ukraine's critical infrastructure using strike drones, ground- and sea-launched missiles," the Air Force said.

The Air Force detected 509 aerial attack assets:

  • 2 hypersonic Zircon missiles from Crimea
  • 13 ballistic missiles of the Iskander-M/S-400 type
  • 14 Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea
  • 480 strike drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types, launched from eight directions

The main targets were Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zhytomyr region, Khmelnytskyi region, and Chernivtsi region.

The attacks were countered by aviation, surface-to-air missile troops, electronic warfare units, drone defense systems, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

Preliminary data indicates that air defense intercepted or suppressed 19 missiles and 453 drones of various types:

  • 8 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles
  • 11 Kalibr cruise missiles
  • 453 enemy drones of various types

At the same time, nine missiles and 26 strike drones hit 22 locations, and downed drones fell at five locations.
