Howitzers, anti-aircraft guns, and missiles: Scholz announces new aid package for Ukraine
Germany provides Ukraine with a new military aid package. It includes howitzers, anti-aircraft guns, and missiles for air defense systems, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said during a press conference with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"Today we are preparing a new aid package, which is 1.1 billion euros. This includes 36 armored wheeled howitzers from industrial stocks, 120,000 pieces of ammunition, two Skynex systems, and missiles for IRIS-T," Scholz says.
He also says that Germany has allocated 1.7 billion euros to help Ukraine this year and 6 billion euros in the following years.
Scholz emphasizes that Germany is the second country among the partners in helping Ukraine.

In addition, Germany announced that in 2024 it would double its military assistance to Ukraine to 8 billion euros.
