How to make avocado ripe and tasty if you bought it unripe
Stiff and unripe avocados are a popular ingredient for breakfasts and interesting dishes. However, sometimes stores sell unripe and very hard fruits, and then you may have to wait for several days until the "alligator pear" (that's what avocado is often called) ripens. However, there is a life hack that will help you deal with this problem much faster, according to Daily Express.
If an avocado is unripe - what to do
When an avocado is unripe, it is bitter and tasteless. Such fruit can spoil the dish and mood, so it's best not to eat it. However, don't rush to throw it away. A simple life hack with a microwave can help you.
Take the avocado and cut it in half. The pit needs to be removed. Then wrap each half of the avocado in plastic wrap suitable for microwave heating.
Place the wrapped halves in the microwave, set the timer for two minutes, and set the heating temperature to high. When the avocado warms up, let it cool a bit and put the fruit in cold water; this will stop the heating process of the pulp, and it won't "boil."
After that, you can confidently taste the fruit. The avocado will become soft, tasty, and very ripe. Thanks to this, you can easily prepare guacamole or toasts; you can also add the fruits to smoothies and salads.
