How Robbie Williams shed 15 kg and changed his life

In 2023, Robbie Williams openly shared how he lost over 12 kg, saying that being "bigger" was "shockingly catastrophic" for his mental health. News.com reports how the singer managed to lose weight and what the outcome was.
How Robbie Williams lost weight
The 51-year-old singer told The Times that he shed the extra kilos with the help of "something like Ozempic", a diabetes medication that has become a popular weight-loss method among celebrities.
"It's like a Christmas miracle … and I need it, medically. I’ve been diagnosed with type 2 self-loathing," joked the father of four.
"It's shockingly catastrophic to my mental health to be bigger. My inner voice talks to me like Katie Hopkins (a British media personality known for her scandalous remarks) talks about fat people. It's maddening," the star said.

"Pure self-hatred"
In July 2023, Williams spoke candidly about his struggle with body dysmorphia in a social media post, calling it a "f***ing disaster."
He shared a long Instagram message with his 2.7 million followers about his struggle with weight after fans reacted to his newly slim figure.

The heartfelt post was accompanied by a cartoon image where one character says to another, "It's gone too far," to which the other replies, "Aw, bless you."
The British singer went on to speak in the post about his "pure self-hatred."
Williams pointed out his weight loss, admitting that his current size also doesn't make him happy.
What was the outcome of the weight loss?
By the way, losing weight was not without consequences for the singer.
Robbie Williams was diagnosed with scurvy, a rare disease that develops due to a deficiency of vitamin C in the body.
Symptoms can include weakness, bleeding gums, muscle pain, rashes, brittle teeth, and problems with the cardiovascular and gastrointestinal systems.
"I'd stopped eating and I wasn't getting nutrients". And it led to a vitamin C deficiency and a subsequent scurvy diagnosis, Williams explained.
