How much water should we drink? Coach's comment
Water is a transparent liquid that serves as the foundation of life on Earth. It consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom (H₂O). Water exists in three states: liquid, solid (ice), and gaseous (water vapor). It is essential for all forms of life and plays a crucial role in many natural processes, such as photosynthesis, cellular respiration, and temperature regulation.
Coach and nutritionist Viktor Mandziak explained how much water is recommended to drink daily.
According to the expert, biochemistry textbooks indicate that a person loses 2.5 liters of water daily and must replenish this loss.
"Let's think about where we get this water from. About 300 grams of water is produced in the body as a result of biochemical processes, particularly when glucose is burned," Viktor said.
He emphasized that the body itself produces water. Another 700 grams of water comes from food. For example, vegetables and fruits contain a lot of water.
"Cucumbers are mostly water, watermelon also falls into this category, and soups are water too. Additionally, we get 700 ml from tea, milk, and other drinks," Mandziak added.
The coach concluded that you don't need to drink 2 or 3 liters of water, you just need to drink as much as you feel like.
