Russia's monthly Shahed drones production revealed: November stats
With the help of components supplied by Iran, Russia plans to assemble around 900 kamikaze drones per month, three times more than last year's figures, according to the material by RBC-Ukraine.
According to the report, the Russian-Iranian Shaheds have become a significant problem for Ukraine. Since September, Russian forces have been launching dozens of these kamikaze drones almost every night across various regions of Ukraine to exhaust and detect the Ukrainian air defense systems.
RBC-Ukraine states that not all the drones launched are the so-called Geran drones. They are often used in combination with other long-range UAVs, such as Gerbera, to create larger salvos. However, the volume of production of even just the Shahed-Geran drones allows the enemy to terrorize Ukraine night after night.
Shahed drone attacks
According to British intelligence, Russia was able to increase the production of kamikaze drones and boost the intensity of its strikes on Ukraine.
In particular, approximately 2,000 kamikaze drones were launched by Russia against Ukraine during October 2024, about 700 more than in September, and this marks the third consecutive month of significant increases.
It is highly likely that the high production rates seen in September and October will become the new norm, the UK Ministry of Defense notes.
As previously reported by RBC-Ukraine, due to the increased production and a pause in strikes, Russia now has more than 1,500 missiles in its arsenal. The Russian army has already begun a new campaign targeting Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
