How many children kidnapped by Russia has Ukraine returned: Figures named by Office of President

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine has managed to return over a thousand children kidnapped by Russia. At the same time, one and a half million children remain under enemy control, states Daria Zarivna, advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine and chief operating officer of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
Zarivna emphasized that the deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia is a challenge to the system of international humanitarian law.
At the same time, the global movement Bring Kids Back UA has helped bring the issue of the kidnapping of Ukrainian children onto the international agenda.
"We have succeeded in bringing 1,458 children home, but over 1.6 million Ukrainian children remain under the control of the enemy. We have the power to change this – and diplomacy plays a key role in making it happen," she clarified.
Kidnapping of Ukrainian children
The Ukrainian and Russian delegations held their third round of negotiations in Istanbul yesterday, July 23. In particular, Ukraine raised the issue of Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia.
In response, the head of the Russian delegation, Vladimir Medinsky, claimed that Ukraine had handed over a list to Russia allegedly containing only 339 children.
He also cynically referred to Ukraine’s demands to return the kidnapped children as a "show for European grandmothers."
