More than 60% of Ukrainians are prepared to endure the war for as long as necessary, while over 20% say they can hold out for only a few more months, according to a survey run by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
Pollsters indicate that public sentiment has barely changed since the previous survey, conducted October 8–16.
Despite international pressure on Ukraine and a campaign of terror against civilians, Ukrainians' willingness to endure the war has not declined.
The responses from surveyed Ukrainians break down as follows:
-
63% are prepared to endure for as long as necessary
-
21% say they can hold out for a shorter period (a few months or six months)
-
5% are prepared to endure for another year
-
11% could not give a definite answer.

In Kyiv, despite constant pressure, most are prepared to endure the war for as long as necessary.
As previously reported, most Ukrainians—61% of those surveyed—are firmly opposed to handing over Donbas to Russia in exchange for security guarantees from the United States and Europe.
