How Favbet Foundation and Andrii Matiukha support youth: Sports, education, and safe environment

Favbet Foundation, led by Andrii Matiukha, continues to implement initiatives in the fields of sports and education. Since 2020, the foundation has supported young people by developing infrastructure, launching educational programs, and providing practical assistance to athletes, citing the Favbet Foundation press service.
One of the foundation’s key areas of work is enhancing safety in the sports environment. In partnership with the organization FAST, first aid training sessions are being conducted for coaches and athletes.
In the first months of 2025, more than 210 individuals completed this training, including representatives from 10 national teams. In total, the initiative aims to reach up to 1,800 participants. The foundation emphasizes that awareness and preparedness in emergency situations are key to reducing life-threatening risks.
Under the leadership of Andrii Matiukha, the foundation also supports Ukrainian athletes with the potential to compete internationally. This support includes funding participation in competitions, providing logistical assistance, accommodation, and training resources, as well as informational and mentoring support. This approach allows athletes to focus on preparing for competitions without having to deal with organizational challenges.
According to Andrii Matiukha, athletes' achievements are the result of their hard work, while the foundation’s role is to create conditions that help them realize their potential. He sees the victories of Ukrainian athletes as a testament to their strong character and professionalism.
Favbet Foundation is also actively developing children’s and amateur sports. As part of the Favbet Kids program, free sports clubs operate in Kyiv, including football, basketball, and martial arts sections based at the SpartaBox club. The primary participants are children from military families and internally displaced persons. In addition, the foundation organizes children’s sports events that combine competitive elements with education, helping participants learn teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence.
The foundation’s educational initiatives also extend to schools. In 2023, more than 5,500 schoolchildren received school supplies and sports equipment. Additionally, over 350 teenagers took part in free IT courses, which became their first step in acquiring digital skills.
Andrii Matiukha emphasizes the importance of holistic youth development, encompassing physical, intellectual, and moral education. According to him, only a generation that is prepared for challenges can ensure a stable future for the country.
"We must shape citizens who are not only physically strong, but also spiritually resilient and educated — people who are unafraid of change and challenges," Matiukha states.
