House Freedom Caucus against aid to Israel: Reason named
The leadership of the Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives is reportedly against a large aid package to Israel, fearing it could lead to a crisis, states the House Freedom Caucus's Twitter page.
According to the House Freedom Caucus, Biden is succumbing to predictable pressure to propose an even larger but now unpaid aid package to Israel.
"When our nation is running $200 billion monthly deficits and $34 trillion in national debt, America should not and does not have to, borrow to support Israel. It is particularly troubling that, as we would have to borrow, we are simultaneously taxing and borrowing money to finance Hamas, as well as funding all of Joe Biden's policies endangering the American people such as his unprecedented border crisis," the statement reads.
Republicans have found a solution for providing aid to Israel.
"Congress can pay for Israel aid by cutting funding for the United Nations, repealing the IRS expansion, rescinding the Department of Commerce's 'slush fund,' or ending leftist climate change tax credits," Republicans have stated.
Aid from the U.S. to Israel
Earlier, we reported that next week, the U.S. Congress will vote on a bill providing over $17 billion in aid to Israel.
We also mentioned that the new spokesperson for the U.S. House of Representatives proposed a package for Israel without assistance to Ukraine.
By the way, there has been strong criticism from the Biden administration regarding the bill providing aid to Israel without including support for Ukraine.
