Hottest situation since beginning of day in Lyman and Pokrovsk directions - General Staff

"At this time, the number of combat clashes has increased to 56. The hottest spots are now in the Lyman and Pokrovsk directions. Ukrainian defenders are taking all necessary measures to prevent a breach in the defense," reports the General Staff.

Situation in the directions

In the Kharkiv direction, since the beginning of the day, there have been four clashes near Vovchansk, two of which are currently ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops made one unsuccessful attempt to assault our positions near Synkivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked in the areas of Makiivka, Nevske, Terny, and the Serebryanske forestry. Since the beginning of the day, there have been a total of 15 clashes in this area, with four still ongoing. The situation is under control.

In the Siversk direction, near Verkhnokamyanske, Ivano-Dariivka, Spirne, and Vyimka, the Russian forces made eight attempts to push our units back.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian troops made six attempts to force our units from their positions. Ukrainian forces repelled four assaults near Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, and Ivanivske. Two attacks are still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, with the support of assault and bomber aviation, the enemy attacked our positions seven times. Two clashes are ongoing near New York.

In the Pokrovsk direction, fierce battles are ongoing in the areas of Kalynove, Vozdvyzhenska, Novooleksandrivka, Zhelanne, and Karlivka. The enemy has made ten attempts to assault Ukrainian positions. Fighting continues in five locations.

In the Kurakhove direction, since the beginning of the day, the Russian troops have attacked our units once, attempting to advance near Krasnohorivka.

In the Vremivka direction, two enemy assaults towards Vodiane and Vuhledar have been repelled, with one battle still ongoing.

In the Orikhiv direction, near Mala Tokmachka, the Russian army attempted to advance once but faced strong resistance. The enemy also used aviation against Hulyaipole.

Russian losses in the war

Over the past day, according to the General Staff, enemy losses amounted to 1,140 personnel. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 587,000 soldiers in total. Specifically, yesterday the Defense Forces destroyed:

• 2 tanks;
• 9 armored combat vehicles;
• 36 artillery systems.
