President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a meeting with the Servant of the People faction, informed MPs about possible timelines for the end of the "hot phase" of the war, according to a post by Servant of the People MP Olha Vasylevska-Smahliuk.
According to the MP, the majority of the President’s meeting with the faction was devoted to the prospects of ending the "hot phase" of the war.
"The President noted that, by November, there is a possibility — provided that security guarantees are in place — to end the 'hot phase.' Right now, we have an advantage on the frontline that can be used. The main goal is to prevent Russia from deceiving us and, after a short pause, resuming hostilities and launching a new offensive," she said.
In addition, Vasylevska-Smahliuk wrote on Telegram that Ukraine is currently waiting for Europe to decide who it will appoint as its representative in peace negotiations. A US delegation is also expected to visit Ukraine in the near future.
"We also discussed the prospects of EU membership at length. The President said that we, as MPs, have fulfilled all requirements to open all negotiation clusters, and they should be opened by summer. As for the issue of associated membership without voting rights and without trade and economic prospects — this type of membership would not give Ukrainians a sense of justice," she added.
Ukraine stabilizes the frontline
In his evening address today, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has stabilized the frontline. According to him, this was achieved thanks to people’s bravery, drones, various technological solutions, "middle strikes," and long-range attacks on Russian oil infrastructure.
Recently, Estonia’s intelligence also reported a turning point in Russia’s war against Ukraine, emphasizing that time is now working against the aggressor.
Meanwhile, according to the Financial Times, Russia’s military command has promised President Vladimir Putin to capture the entire Ukrainian Donbas by autumn.
