HIMARS destroyed Russian command and control vehicle: Fire directed by Special Operations Forces
Special Operations Forces fighters discovered and targeted a Russian command and control vehicle, deploying HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) in southern Ukraine, according to the Special Operations Forces (SOF).
The operators from the 73rd Marine Center of the SOF identified an enemy command and control vehicle during reconnaissance operations on the southern front. The Russians were using it to manage their units.
Aerial reconnaissance specialists adjusted the fire of the Ukrainian artillery onto the enemy vehicle. The American HIMARS multiple rocket launcher system destroyed the Russian command and control vehicle.
"As a result of a precise strike, the enemy command and control vehicle is not subject to recovery, in other words, destroyed," note the SOF fighters.
Frontline situation
Currently, the Ukrainian military offensive is concentrated on two fronts - Bakhmut and Melitopol. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are attacking south of Bakhmut and conducting an offensive operation in the Zaporizhzhia region. Additionally, Ukrainian forces are consolidating their positions on the left bank of the Kherson region.
In addition, heavy fighting continues near Avdiivka, which the Russians are attempting to encircle and capture in the areas of Maryinka and Bakhmut. The Russian army is trying to regain lost positions.
