Hezbollah militants' pagers explode again in Lebanon
Portable radios used by the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah began exploding in Lebanon today, according to Reuters.
As agency reports, portable radios used by the armed group Hezbollah began exploding in Lebanon on Wednesday evening. According to preliminary reports, one of the explosions occurred near a funeral organized by Iranian-backed Hezbollah for those killed the day before.
Due to the threat of explosions, Hezbollah has instructed its fighters to distance themselves from communication devices and to dispose of devices containing lithium batteries or connected to the internet.
Hezbollah pager explosion operation
Last night, the media reported that the pagers of the members of the Hezbollah group in Lebanon, which they used for communication, exploded. It is known that the explosions killed nine militants and injured at least 2,750 people.
The explosions caused injuries to many group members. Videos from hospitals show that the injured have various facial injuries, lost fingers, and severe wounds to their thighs, where it is likely they carried the pagers.
A Hezbollah representative, who wished to remain anonymous, described the explosion as the biggest security failure for the group since the onset of the conflict between Israel and Hamas on October 7, 2023.
Hezbollah's leadership has vowed to retaliate against Israel for the incident, while the Israeli army has stated its readiness for potential attacks from militants.
