The long-awaited trailer for HBO’s Harry Potter series has finally been released. The footage on HBO Max’s YouTube channel offers a first look at how the iconic story of the young wizard will be adapted for television.
What impressed in the first “Harry Potter” trailer
In the two-minute video, viewers got their first look at the cast in the lead roles, as well as the first scenes from the upcoming series.
Dominic McLaughlin appears as Harry, Arabella Stanton plays Hermione, and Alistair Stout takes on the role of Ron.
The series is being produced at Leavesden Studios, where the original film saga was shot. It promises to recreate the magic of each book as faithfully as possible.
The first season is titled “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.” At the beginning of the trailer, viewers can see the future wizard struggling while living with his aunt’s Dursley family.

She tries to convince the boy that there is nothing special about him. However, receiving a letter from the school of magic and meeting Hagrid soon changed his life completely.
Harry then heads to London’s King’s Cross station, where he must pass through the famous magical platform for the first time. On the train, he meets his future friends — Ron and Hermione.

The creators didn’t keep the intrigue for long and quickly revealed when viewers will be able to enjoy the first episodes of the legendary project — and it’s coming very soon.
“A new era of Hogwarts begins. The HBO Original series ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ premieres this Christmas,” the video description says.
The trailer also features Hogwarts itself, a game of Quidditch, and new versions of Severus Snape, Dumbledore, Draco Malfoy, and other characters.

It is worth noting that more than 30,000 candidates auditioned for the lead roles in the series.
