Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe comments on upcoming reboot
Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who famously portrayed the young wizard for 10 years, has shared his thoughts on the reboot of the iconic story, set to premiere on HBO in 2027. He revealed whether he discussed the series with Emma Watson and Rupert Grint and opened up about his emotional reaction to the remake.
Radcliffe expressed that the start of this new era, with a fresh cast, feels surreal. He and his former co-stars, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, have talked about the reboot, though they didn’t delve deeply into the series itself.
“It's one of those where I think we all just know how the others feel, because we're also feeling it. You just see the pictures of these kids, and you just want to grab them and hug them. That's the impulse that I think that we, mainly, all have,” Radcliffe commented, reflecting on the emotions stirred by the new cast stepping into roles they once made their own.

Daniel Radcliffe admitted that watching the young actors made him reconsider his own experience.
“When you're 11, and you're doing something, you're like, 'Of course I'm old enough to do this — I'm the oldest I've ever been.' But now when I meet 11-year-olds, I am like, 'Whoa, that seems nuts.' It puts into perspective,” he shared.
The actor also expressed special gratitude to his parents, who helped him get through the exhausting years of work with support and humor.
