Russia reports missile landing in the village of Petropavlivka in the Voronezh region. A powerful explosion audible to local residents has leveled half of the street, according to the Baza Telegram channel.

"In the village of Petropavlivka in the Voronezh region, an entire street has been damaged due to a strong explosion," the report states.

Local residents are sharing videos of the aftermath of the explosion and reporting on the incident which occurred around 9:00 AM.

"What exactly landed, why the explosion happened, and whether there are casualties have not reported at the moment. No official comments have been made yet," Baza specifies.

Russian munition explosion

According to Baza, Alexander Gusev, the governor of the Voronezh region in Russia, said that a Russian munition exploded in Petropavlivka. However, the specific nature of the munition is not disclosed.

"Dear residents of the Voronezh region, today there was an emergency descent of our munition in the Ostrogozhsk district. Fortunately, there were no casualties, but preliminary information reports damage to seven residential buildings," he said.

Residents of several streets in the village of Petropavlivka are reportedly being relocated to temporary shelters, including a pension in Korotoyak.
