Google names best Android apps and games of 2024

Google has an annual tradition of recognizing the best apps and games on Google Play. As the year draws to a close, the company has announced this year’s winners, with a variety of apps and games making the list that are worth noting, according to Android Authority,
In 2024, the title of Best App went to Partiful – a tool for creating, managing, and distributing event invitations. The app was recognized for its intuitive design and innovative approach to the invitation creation process. The Best Game award went to AFK Journey, a role-playing adventure game with a wide range of characters and a well-thought-out tactical battle system.
As in previous years, Google highlighted the best apps and games for several types of devices. The Max app by Warner Media, known for its seamless cross-device functionality and extensive content library, was named Best Multimedia App.
Surprisingly, the award for Best Cross-Device Game went to Clash of Clans, despite its over-ten-year history. This year, the game was adapted for PC and Chromebook, allowing users to enjoy it across nearly all platforms.
