Google Chrome eases access to saved passwords on all devices
In the near future, you'll be able to access your saved passwords, bookmarks, and addresses in Chrome simply by logging into your Google account in the browser, citing the American tech website The Verge.
Update details
Google states that you'll have the option to sign into Chrome for a personalized browsing experience, allowing you to send tabs and use your saved passwords across different devices.
However, you are not required to sign into your account in Chrome if you prefer not to link your browsing data with your Google account. Google also notes that to save your history and open tabs in your account, you will need to agree to this separately.
"Today, users increasingly expect to just sign in to get access to their stuff and sign out to keep it safe," writes Claire Charron, Chrome product manager.
"Given this evolution of technology and user norms, we’re continuing to make progress on transforming our legacy sync model into one that more seamlessly meets the expectation users have today."
As for when exactly this change will roll out on Android and iOS, Google advises keeping an eye out for updates.
