Ingredients:
-
4–5 sausages
-
200 g puff pastry or unleavened pastry
-
1–2 tbsp sour cream
How to make them
Cut the sausages into small pieces.
Roll out the pastry and cut it into strips or small pieces.
Place the sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover them with the pastry and shape it into little ghost figures.
Make holes for the eyes and mouth. You can use a toothpick for this.
Lightly brush the pastry with sour cream and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 20 minutes, or until the pastry is done.
Let the snacks cool slightly, then serve.
These sausage ghosts are perfect for a Halloween-themed table and don’t require any complicated decorating. The next recipe is similar in terms of preparation but takes a little more effort.
Halloween sausage spiders
This snack isn’t much more difficult to make than the previous one and is a fun idea for a creative dinner to prepare with kids.
Ingredients:
-
5 sausages
-
200 g puff pastry
-
1–2 tbsp sour cream
-
a little sour cream or thick sauce for decoration
How to make them
Make several cuts along both sides of each sausage, being careful not to cut all the way through. These will become the spiders’ “legs,” according to the recipe’s creator.
Cut the puff pastry into thin, long strips. Wrap each sausage with the strips of pastry, leaving the cut sections of the sausage exposed.
Place the prepared sausages on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush the pastry with a thin layer of sour cream.
Bake at 180°C (356°F) for about 20 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
Let the spiders cool slightly, then make little eyes using sour cream or a thick sauce and serve.
