Germany to bolster Ukraine's air defense ahead of winter: Patriot to be included in aid package

Germany is preparing a second winter package of military aid for Ukraine, which will include the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, according to the German Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that this aid will help protect critical infrastructure.
Germany will provide Ukraine with:
- An additional Patriot anti-aircraft missile system;
- IRIS-T SLM;
- IRIS-T SLS;
- Three Gepard anti-aircraft installations. The total cost of this aid will amount to 1 billion euros.
Germany is helping to strengthen Ukraine's air defense
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
"Germany is working on providing Ukraine with an additional "Patriot" system for the winter months," the President of Ukraine said.
Bloomberg also reported that Germany planned to supply Ukraine with additional air defense assets to help protect grain shipments from potential Russian attacks.
