Germany's Merz pledges to identify those behind attack on Ukrainian aircraft

Berlin will soon name all those involved in the attack on the Ukrainian An-124 at the Leipzig/Halle Airport, says German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
The German leader speaks publicly for the first time about the incidents involving drones of unknown origin that were detected near a Ukrainian Ruslan aircraft.
According to him, the investigation is ongoing, and its results will be announced shortly.
Merz makes it clear that law enforcement agencies are continuing to identify those involved in the incident. He also hints that Berlin has information at its disposal but is not yet in a hurry to make it public, as reliable confirmation is required.
"We will release this information soon," the German chancellor pledges.
In light of recent events, he notes that Germany is increasingly becoming a target of hybrid attacks.
That is why Merz emphasizes the country's unwavering commitment to its key political principles: Germany must remain a secure nation, strengthen its defense capabilities, and deter potential aggressors.
The Chancellor stresses that those responsible for hybrid attacks must be held accountable, though he does not specify what punishment might be imposed on those involved in the Leipzig incident.
He also pledges that no attacks or intimidation will be able to stop the aid and support Berlin provides to Ukraine.
Additionally, another drone that may have been used to attack a Ukrainian aircraft has been found in Germany.
Furthermore, Berlin settled on the leading theory of the events and knew exactly who could have carried out this attack.
