Germany is launching a new "deep strike" initiative and increasing support for the purchase of long-range drones produced in Ukraine, stated German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius during the Ramstein meeting.

According to Pistorius, under the initiative, Germany will sign a series of contracts with Ukrainian enterprises totaling €300 million. These contracts will provide for the delivery of several thousand long-range drones of various types produced in Ukraine. He added that the contracts are flexible and allow for increased deliveries.

The Defense Minister also called on all partners to join the initiative.

Drone production

Previously, French Ambassador to Ukraine Gaël Veyssière stated that France and Ukraine are working on establishing drone production for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in both countries.

Agreements have also been reached with Denmark to launch a joint line for long-range drone production.

Ukraine and the United Kingdom have also agreed to cooperate in drone manufacturing.

Earlier reports indicated that the German company Quantum Systems has launched secret factories in Ukraine producing Vector reconnaissance drones, with a monthly output of about 80 drones equipped with AI and artillery detection sensors.

Additionally, negotiations with the United States are ongoing for a large-scale $50 billion deal to expand drone production.
