In Kharkiv, a gas tank exploded at an industrial facility while emergency crews were responding to the aftermath of a nighttime Russian missile strike. As a result, a rescuer from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) was injured, the Ukrainian news agency Suspilne reports.

According to Spartak Borysenko, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the explosion occurred while firefighters were extinguishing a blaze at one of the city's industrial sites.

As of now, Suspilne reports that the total number of injured from the attack has risen to four.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

Russia continues to regularly strike Ukrainian territory using missiles, drones, guided aerial bombs, and artillery. Civilian infrastructure is frequently targeted, creating ongoing danger for residents.

Drone attacks happen almost nightly. For example, during the night of June 20, Russia launched 86 drones from six different directions.

In Kharkiv, the first wave of attacks began shortly after 11:00 p.m. local time. Multiple hits, fires, and damage to a residential building were reported. A second wave of enemy UAVs struck the city around 2:00 a.m.
