Gas stations in Russia's oil-producing region face fuel shortages

In Russia’s Krasnodar Krai, fuel dispensing has been temporarily suspended at a number of gas stations due to increased demand and supply disruptions, according to the operational headquarters of Krasnodar Krai.
According to the region’s Ministry of Fuel and Energy Complex and Housing and Communal Services, as of June 10, fuel is not being dispensed at 15 gas stations in Krasnodar, as well as in several districts, including Krasnoarmeysky, Kushchovsky, Slavyansky, and Ust-Labinsky.
These are mostly small private filling stations. Regional authorities say companies have organized additional fuel deliveries to stabilize the situation.
At the same time, in the Temryuk district, which borders occupied Crimea, queues of 20 to 100 vehicles have been reported at seven gas stations. Despite this, the regional operational headquarters claims that fuel is available there and is being dispensed in full.
Local Telegram channels have been reporting a possible gasoline shortage. Users complain about the absence of popular fuel grades and a sharp increase in demand for more expensive types of gasoline.
Videos from local Telegram channels show residents talking about difficulties refueling their cars and long queues at gas stations.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Russia’s oil industry is facing pressure amid declining domestic refining and disruptions in energy infrastructure.
This is forcing Russia to partially redirect crude oil from exports to the domestic market to meet the needs of its refineries.
The outlet also noted that strikes on Russian oil refineries and logistics facilities are complicating the stability of fuel supplies inside the country.
