Gamers shocked as Steam now reveals how much they spend on games

A new section has appeared on Steam that allows users to find out how much money they have spent on the platform over time and on which games in particular, the technology website PCWorld reports.
Where to view your game expenses
You can access this tool yourself by logging into Steam and going to Help > Steam Support > My Account > Data Related to Your Steam Account > External Funds Used. After Steam asks you to log in again, you'll see your expenses divided into five categories:
- TotalSpend;
- OldSpend;
- PWSpend;
- ChinaSpend;
- PackageOnlySpend.
How Steam tracks your expenses:
- "TotalSpend" - this is the total amount you've spent on Steam;
- "OldSpend" - the amount spent before April 17, 2015;
- "PWSpend" - the amount spent on Perfect World if you linked it with CS:GO or Dota 2;
- "ChinaSpend" - the amount spent on Steam China;
- "PackageOnlySpend" - how much you've spent using external funds.
