French Defense Ministry reports successful Ukrainian offensive in Kursk region
The French Ministry of Defense claims that the operation in the Kursk region is being conducted by Ukrainian Armed Forces and has "some initial success", according to the French Ministry of Defense.
"The Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region, thanks to the element of surprise and the confrontation with less prepared forces compared to the eastern front, appears to have some initial success. This attack could force the Russian army to divert forces from other parts of the front, thus weakening local pressure in areas where the Ukrainian army has experienced difficulties so far," the statement reads.
The French Ministry of Defense noted that both sides are striking deep into each other's territory, and Ukrainian forces continue to target Russian airfields and energy infrastructure.
