Free analog of ChatGPT working without Internet released
Nvidia introduced its analog to the ChatGPT chatbot, which was called Chat with RTX. This service is already available as a free trial program for Windows 11 and can work offline, reports NVIDIA Blog.
What is known about the new chatbot
Chat with RTX allows you to run a local AI chatbot on your computer. Users can send files, documents and videos to it to create a summary, analyze the information and get relevant answers based on the data provided.
The program runs on a PC and requires an RTX 30 or 40 series graphics card with at least 8 GB of video memory and 16 GB of RAM. Chat with RTX works locally, and the company claims that this eliminates the possibility of leaking personal data, since there is no access to cloud servers.
According to the editors of The Verge, who have already tested the service, Chat with RTX successfully copes with data analysis tasks. It can be a useful tool for journalists and those who work with large volumes of information.

The application is capable of processing YouTube videos as well as scanning PDF files for key information, acting almost instantly without the delays that are characteristic of cloud-based chatbots such as ChatGPT or Copilot.
However, Chat with RTX is currently an early developer release and has some limitations. The Nvidia company does not present it as a finished solution, but rather as a promising start in the development of a new analog of ChatGPT.
The Chat with RTX installation file size is around 35GB and can be downloaded from Nvidia's official website.
