A fatal accident involving a minibus carrying Ukrainian nationals occurred in Slovenia on July 30. According to preliminary reports, five foreign nationals were killed, including four Ukrainian women, according to Delo.si.

On Wednesday, July 30, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the A1 motorway near the town of Slovenske Konjice in Slovenia, claiming the lives of five foreign nationals, preliminarily including four Ukrainian women.

The crash happened in the morning, about 100 kilometers north of the capital, Ljubljana.

According to police, a Ukrainian-registered minibus driven by a Ukrainian citizen was carrying seven passengers. Preliminary reports indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to excessive speed and crashed into the trailer of a truck moving ahead. A Russian citizen was driving the truck.

As a result of the severe impact, five people in the minibus died at the scene. Three others, including the driver, were injured and hospitalized. The identities of the deceased are still being verified.

Emergency services, police, and representatives from the Ukrainian consulate responded to the scene. Slovenian authorities have launched an investigation to determine the full circumstances of the incident.

The Ukrainian Embassy in Slovenia is monitoring the situation closely and coordinating with local services to clarify the details and provide assistance to the injured and the families of the victims.

A fatal crash also occurred on July 28 in Novoselytsia, involving an off-duty police officer. She reportedly lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a fence. One passenger died on the spot, and two others were injured.
