Five dead and 35 injured in Lviv due to Russian attack
The number of victims and casualties in Lviv has increased due to the Russian strike. Two children are among the dead, according to the head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration (RMA), Maksym Kozytskyi, and Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi.
"The fifth death. A child," said Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi.
Moreover, according to Maksym Kozytskyi, there is a 14-year-old girl among the dead.
Number of injured has risen to 35
As of 8:00 AM, more than 35 people in Lviv were receiving medical assistance.
"Several of them are in critical condition, including five children," Mayor Sadovyi reported.
Additionally, according to the Lviv RMA, over 50 buildings have been damaged. Two schools and two medical facilities were also affected. All emergency services are on-site, and debris clearance is ongoing.
Russian attack on Lviv
On the morning of September 4, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Ukraine with drones and missiles. Explosions were heard in Lviv around 5:20 AM. The military reported a drone threat, and later, more explosions were heard in the city.
By around 6:40 AM, the first reports of six injured people emerged. The attack also damaged residential buildings. Later, the number of injured in Lviv rose to 19, with reports of one death, which later increased to two.
