Foreign media prepare disinformation against Ukraine's top leadership
A disinformation campaign is reportedly underway in foreign media against the top leadership of Ukraine with the aim of create discord within the society, according to the Center for Countering Disinformation.
A series of articles containing misinformation about the military-political leadership of Ukraine is planned to be released on English-language platforms.
They are being prepared by foreign journalists with experience in Russia, particularly during the early days of dictator Vladimir Putin's rule.
"The goal of such actions is to create division within Ukrainian society," noted the Disinformation Counteraction Center.
Disinformation and fake news from Russia against Ukraine
In the near future, the Russian Federation will launch a wave of disinformation regarding the reasons for the suspension of prisoner exchanges. In this way, the terrorist country will attempt to justify its inaction.
The goals of the disinformation campaign are:
- Attempting to destabilize the situation within Ukrainian society.
- Sowing mistrust towards the state authorities involved in organizing prisoner exchanges.
Recently, a video featuring the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, surfaced on the internet, where he allegedly calls on Ukrainians to create a coup and advises military personnel not to obey criminal orders of the authorities.
