Forced evacuation of families with children has been announced in seven settlements in the Kharkiv region, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
The evacuation covers seven villages of the Starosaltivska hromada: Bereznyky, Vyshneve, Hontarivka, Metalivka, Radkove, Zarichne, and Shyroke.
According to the latest data, 25 children still remain in these settlements.
"We urge families with minors to leave the dangerous areas immediately, because this is about saving lives," said Oleh Syniehubov.
He noted that evacuation routes have already been coordinated and temporary accommodation is available.
"Evacuated families will receive support in obtaining IDP status, access to financial assistance, and humanitarian aid," the head of the regional administration said.
Evacuation from frontline areas
Earlier, authorities reported plans to forcibly evacuate more than 3,000 children together with their parents from frontline communities in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
In communities of Donetsk Oblast located in active combat zones, around 13,800 people still remain, including in the Pokrovsk community and in Kostiantynivka.
There are currently 20 transit centers for displaced people operating across Ukraine. Evacuation in frontline areas is carried out by specialised units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (the Phoenix unit) and the National Police of Ukraine (the White Angel unit).
Previously, mandatory evacuation was also announced for residents of 14 border settlements in Chernihiv Oblast, as well as plans to evacuate children from 19 settlements in Donetsk Oblast and people with limited mobility from Zaporizhzhia Oblast to safer regions.
