The Russian army carried out a targeted strike on a civilian cargo vehicle on the outskirts of the Bilopillia community in the Sumy region, according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

According to preliminary information, the attack injured a 36-year-old driver who was delivering food to local residents.

Medical personnel provided assistance at the scene, and hospitalization was not required.

The military noted that Russian forces deliberately target civilian transport and ordinary people who are simply doing their jobs and supplying communities with essential goods. Despite the risk of attacks, food deliveries to frontline settlements continue.

Attacks on the Sumy region

A few days ago, a nighttime drone strike on the railway station in Sumy caused damage and injuries.

Two railway workers were wounded. One, a 35-year-old man, was hospitalized for further examination and treatment. The second, a 28-year-old employee, received medical assistance on site and is in stable condition.

On October 21, Russian forces also attacked Sumy with an Italmas drone, targeting civilian infrastructure and injuring residents. Two apartment buildings were damaged, several windows were broken, and around 35 balcony frames were destroyed.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that 12 people were injured in the attack.
