Around 3:00 AM Kyiv time on October 23, a drone strike hit the territory of a railway station in Sumy, according to Serhii Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration, who confirmed the incident and shared details.

Casualties and response

As a result of the attack, two railway workers were injured. One of them, a 35-year-old man, was hospitalized for further examination and medical assistance. The second victim, a 28-year-old employee, received first aid on site and is reportedly in stable condition.

Damage assessment

The extent of destruction and other consequences of the strike are still being clarified. City authorities noted that emergency services continue to work at the scene, assessing infrastructure damage and restoring normal station operations.

Context

Earlier, on the night and morning of October 22, Kyiv was hit by drone and missile attacks by Russian forces, injuring 29 people, including five children, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
