Flames and destruction in Kyiv: First images after Russian attack

On the night of December 27, Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Kyiv. As a result of the shelling, fires broke out in several districts of the capital, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
In particular, in the Holosiivskyi district, the fall of a drone caused three vehicles to catch fire on the premises of a service station. The fire has already been extinguished.
In the Obolonskyi district, a drone attack sparked a fire at a three-story private residential building. A blaze was recorded on the roof and the second floor. Rescue workers are continuing firefighting efforts.

In the Darnytskyi district, a private two-story residential building was engulfed in flames. Units of the State Emergency Service are working at the site and eliminating the consequences of the shelling.
Also in the Darnytskyi district, rescue workers responded to a call about a vehicle fire caused by drone debris falling onto the roadway. No fire was found; however, damage to parked vehicles was recorded and one injured person was identified.
Attacks on Kyiv and the Kyiv region on the night of December 27
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, on the night of December 27 Russian forces carried out a massive attack across Ukraine, using various types of weapons. The Kyiv region was among the targets.
As a result of the shelling, one person was injured — a resident of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. During the attack, he was driving a truck and sustained shrapnel wounds to his back.
In Vyshhorod, damage to windows was recorded in a multi-story residential building. In the Boryspil district, industrial facilities and two vehicles were damaged. In the Bucha district, a fire broke out at a construction site. In the Obukhiv district, the premises of a municipal utility enterprise in one of the communities were damaged.
It should be recalled that on the night of December 27 the Russian army attacked Kyiv with missiles of various types and strike drones, with powerful explosions heard across the capital.
According to RBC-Ukraine journalists, power outages were recorded in some parts of the city.
In addition, toward morning Russian forces launched strike drones toward the capital from multiple directions, with several series of explosions heard in Kyiv.
