Several asteroids are flying towards the Earth. One of them will approach the Earth on the evening of March 26, and 4 more - on Thursday, March 27. All of them are very large, and the largest is the size of the Cheops pyramid, states NASA Eyes.

What asteroid will fly by on March 26

The potentially dangerous asteroid TN17, which was discovered in 2014, will fly near the Earth on the evening of Wednesday, March 26. It will approach at a distance of 2,108,352 kilometers and will have a speed of 77,300 km per hour. Over the past 100 years, this asteroid has reached its closest point to our planet.

The width of this asteroid is about 165 meters, which is slightly more than the height of the Great Pyramid of Giza. This size is capable of wiping out an entire city in the event of a collision.

However, according to scientists, it does not pose a threat to humanity, because even at this close it is 13 times farther from the Earth than the Moon. 2014 TN17 is classified by NASA as potentially dangerous because it is very large and flies periodically very close to the Earth.

What other asteroids are approaching the Earth

On the night of March 27, the asteroid 2025 FS5 will fly by the Earth. The distance to the Earth will be 7 376 614 kilometers, and its size will be about 52 meters.

Immediately after it, another asteroid will fly by - 2025 DW5, which is approximately 41.2 meters in size and will pass at a distance of 6,329,846 kilometers.

On the morning of March 27, the asteroid 2007 EJ88 will come closest to Earth. It will also be very large - about 75 meters. However, it will pass at a distance of 7,264,723 kilometers, so it poses no threat to humanity.

At about 10 a.m. on March 27, another asteroid, 2025 FC4, which is about 25 meters wide, will fly by the Earth. The distance to Earth will be 4,305,241 kilometers.
