First losses of North Korean soldiers in Russian army confirmed
Russia started sending North Korean soldiers to the front. They have already suffered their first losses, Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reports.
According to intelligence, Russia has begun to use the DPRK military in assault operations in the Kursk region. In particular, as part of the combined marine and airborne units of the Russian Armed Forces.
“The North Korean troops have already suffered their first sanitary and irreversible losses as a result of a successful fire attack by the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces,” the DIU informs.
At one of the positions in the Kursk region, the North Korean military was covered by FPV drones. The enemy, including the Russians, lost more than one hundred soldiers.
“Estimated losses of units manned by Russian and North Korean personnel as of December 14, 2024, amount to about 200 soldiers,” the intelligence summarized.
Today, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy recorded a video message in which he said that Russians had begun using soldiers from North Korea in assaults.
“Today, there is preliminary evidence that the Russians have begun to use soldiers from North Korea in assaults - a significant number of them. The Russians include them in combined units and use them in operations in the Kursk region,” the Head of State informed.
He added that so far, North Korean soldiers have been spotted only in the Kursk direction. However, there is information that the enemy may be using them in other parts of the combat line.
