First-ever Ukrainian intel deploys FPV drones from boats in Black Sea: Exclusive footage

Ukrainian intelligence used FPV drones in the open sea for the first time. The operation took place back in September of last year, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (HUR).
The HUR said that the operation took place on September 11, 2024. Then, fighters of the Raven Group unit, as part of the Timur Special Unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, used FPV drones from boats in open sea for the first time.
The video features exclusive footage of the intelligence operatives' combat work.
"Thanks to this component of the operation, HUR warriors were able to suppress the enemy’s firepower on the gas production platform 'Petro Hodovanets' in the Black Sea," said the HUR.
The Russian troops suffered losses among personnel and equipment.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that the Group 13 unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine was reinforced with the newest maritime drone MAGURA V7 — it was named Konotop Witch — in honor of a cultural-charitable project within which funds were collected for its purchase.
At the same time, in France, a kamikaze maritime drone was developed, which is an analogue of the Ukrainian Magura V5. It was tested during an attack on a decommissioned barge.
