The Black Sea saw the first-ever naval battle between unmanned surface vessels. The Ukrainian Sargan drone destroyed a Russian unmanned surface vessel, according to the Ukrainian Navy.
The operation in the Black Sea was carried out by the Ukrainian Navy in cooperation with Defense Intelligence. The target was detected by Defense Intelligence units.

The Ukrainian Sargan-3000 drone, equipped with a 12.7 mm Protector RWS automatic turret, destroyed the Russian unmanned surface vessel.
The Ukrainian Navy emphasized that this was the first naval battle between unmanned surface vessels in history.
The Ukrainian Sargan-3000 naval drone has already demonstrated its effectiveness against surface targets.
In July, the Defense Forces used it to sink the Russian ship Izumrud — the same vessel that took part in the attack on Ukrainian ships near the Kerch Strait in 2018.
