A fire broke out in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv after a strike by an enemy drone, with preliminary reports of three people injured as a result of the attack, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov, reports.

“According to preliminary information, an enemy UAV strike was recorded in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv. A fire broke out. Units of the State Emergency Service and emergency medical brigades are on site,” Synehubov stated.

At the same time, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported on Telegram that three people were injured as a result of the drone attack.

"Unfortunately, today we had a daytime hit by a Shahed on a building. This building is located almost in the central part, it is an educational institution, and it is a valuable historic structure," the Kharkiv Mayor noted.

Terekhov also said that the roof of the educational institution caught fire after the drone strike, but rescuers managed to contain the fire, and work is ongoing.

On September 7, an explosion occurred in Kharkiv after an air raid alert. At that time, it was reported that six drones were heading toward the city.

Russians regularly shell Kharkiv using drones, missiles, and aerial bombs.

For example, on the night of August 18, enemy drones targeted the city.

In the morning, one of the UAVs hit a multi-story building in the Industrial district, causing a fire on several floors of two entrances.

As a result of the attack, seven people were killed and over 20 were injured.
