Fire breaks out at Crimea's Belbek airfield: Explosions reported
On the night of October 6 to 7, explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea. A fire broke out at one of the airfields, according to the Crimean Wind.
Reports of the first explosions emerged at 12:21 a.m. According to information from local channels, seven explosions occurred near the Saky airfield in Novofedorivka, and gunfire was also reported.
Furthermore, explosions were audible in the Simferopol region. Some channels indicated that drones were flying towards the temporarily occupied city of Simferopol.
At 1:06 a.m., a channel broadcast footage of the explosions and flashes in the Saky region. According to the Crimean Wind, a fire broke out two minutes later near the Belbek airfield.
At the same time, an air alert was declared across the entire territory of Crimea.
It is worth noting that explosions were also reported in Crimea on the evening of Friday, October 4, specifically in the city of Kerch. Russian authorities claimed that these were routine training exercises.
Additionally, recent satellite images indicated that Russia is preparing for an unprecedented attack on the Crimean Bridge. Two Pantsir air defense systems and other military assets surrounded the crossing.
