Finland suspects Russian vessel of territorial violation

A Russian vessel entered Finnish territorial waters in the Gulf of Finland on Friday, July 26, according to the Finnish Ministry of Defense.
The ministry stated that the Russian vessel is suspected of territorial violations in Finnish waters in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland. This incident occurred during the day on July 26.
"As the highest territorial surveillance authority, the Ministry of Defence directs and coordinates the activities of the territorial surveillance authorities in matters related to territorial surveillance. The Border Guard is in charge of investigating incidents involving border violations," the Ministry of Defense's statement reads.
In June, two Russian bombers and two fighters violated Finnish airspace.
