Russian troops are trying to advance in the area of Chasiv Yar. In particular, this concerns the road to Kostiantynivka, says Anastasia Bobovnikova, spokesperson for the Luhansk operational and tactical group of troops.

“Russians are trying to gain a foothold. They are trying to cross the channel in Chasiv Yar. But how does it happen? 2 or 3 people run across the canal and sit in a house. Accordingly, we cut off their logistical routes and drive them out,” she says.

As for the consolidation from the north, according to the spokesperson, Russians are trying to accumulate equipment, but so far the Ukrainian Defense Forces do not see any assaults with equipment, because it will be difficult for them.

An airborne division of the Central Military District of Russia is stationed opposite Chasiv Yar.

“They bring in personnel every night to replenish losses, and these are also small groups. As for the losses in the area of responsibility of the Luhansk operational and tactical group of troops, on average, 200 Russian personnel are killed and wounded per day,” adds Bobovnikova.

Russians trying to advance along road to Kostiantynivka?

According to the spokesperson, the Russians are indeed trying to advance along the road to Kostiantynivka.

“Yes, this is the direction of Stupochky. If you look on the map, Russia is trying to advance, but the contact line has not been moving for a long time thanks to the actions of our units. They were able to stop the Russians and the situation remains unchanged... they have not been advancing for a month,” the military notes.

Situation in the area of Chasovyi Yar

Russian troops continue to intensify their assaults, trying to break through the Ukrainian defense of Chasiv Yar and thus ensure their advance to Kostiantynivka. The Russian occupiers are about 7-8 kilometers away from the latter.

At the same time, about a week ago, it was reported that the number of Russian assaults had decreased in 3 directions. The Russian occupiers probably took a tactical pause, particularly in the Kramatorsk sector.

Thus, over the past day in the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian occupiers attacked once in the area of Chasiv Yar.
