Russian forces likely take tactical pause in three directions
The number of Russian assaults has decreased at the Kramatorsk, Toretsk and Siversk directions. The Russian forces have probably taken a tactical pause, according to Anastasia Bobovnikova, the spokesperson for the Luhansk Operational and Tactical Group.
"The number of assaults in these directions (Kramatorsk, Toretsk, Siversk - ed.) has slightly decreased. We associate this with the likelihood that the enemy has taken a tactical pause to replenish manpower," Bobovnikova stated.
She added that the enemy might also use the pause to replenish ammunition, weapons, and move equipment.
Bobovnikova predicted that once the Russian army completes its preparations, the number of assaults will return to previous levels.
Fighting for Toretsk
Recently, Russian forces managed to enter Toretsk, and urban battles are now ongoing there.
On October 18, Bobovnikova reported that the Russian army was trying to consolidate in certain districts of the city, but Ukrainian defenders were holding them back.
Military expert Oleksii Hetman told RBC-Ukraine that the battle for Toretsk last a long time, as there are still intact buildings in the area, helping the Ukrainian soldiers to defend.
