Fighter jet Mirage-2000 crash: Air Force Spokesperson comments on situation

Spokesperson of the Ukrainian Air Force Command, Yurii Ihnat, confirmed the crash of the Mirage-2000 fighter jet that Ukraine had received from France, according to his Facebook post.
Yurii Ihnat emphasized that the pilot of the French Mirage-2000 handled the emergency situation professionally.
He explained that the aircraft could no longer be saved, but the pilot did everything possible to direct it toward a safe area away from the residential zone.

Earlier, the Air Force reported that a French Mirage-2000 fighter jet had crashed. The pilot managed to eject in time.
An official statement said that a special commission had been appointed to investigate the cause of the accident.
France’s decision to transfer these fourth-generation multirole fighters produced by Dassault Aviation to Ukraine as part of its military aid became known on February 6.
