Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico will deliver a message from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to Putin during his visit to Moscow, states Slovak Foreign Ministry State Secretary Rastislav Chovanec at a meeting of the European committee of parliament.

According to Chovanec, Fico may also receive valuable information from Putin about how the Russian president views efforts to end the war.
The State Secretary emphasized that, in the current situation, it is necessary to engage all parties to the conflict — and that the EU must be present at the negotiating table where the peace agreement will be concluded.
Chovanec also noted that several Western European leaders have already begun promoting the idea that dialogue with Putin is necessary to end the war.
On the eve of May 9, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned against traveling to Moscow. He recalled that Ukraine had proposed a ceasefire regime starting from May 6, but the Kremlin ignored this initiative.
Meanwhile, Russian authorities have confirmed that on May 9, mobile internet and SMS services will be completely shut down in Moscow. The restrictions will even affect resources included in the white list.
In many regions of Russia, parades are being canceled en masse, and additional restrictions on celebrations are being introduced. Experts note that there is no trace left of the former scale of the May 9 celebrations.
