A massive fire has broken out at the Ukhtomsky plant in the Moscow region in Russia. The blaze has spread over more than 2,000 square meters, according to the monitoring Telegram channel Astra.

According to preliminary information, the fire originated at the Ukhtomsky plant in the suburban area of Lyubertsy, Moscow. It has engulfed an area of 2,000 square meters and has yet to be contained.

"The fire occurred in a building on 65 Years of Victory Street, in a facility belonging to the company Structure Art, which produces decorations for various events and forums," the report says, citing Russian media sources.

The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed.

Fires at enterprises in Russia

Last month, a fire broke out at a chemical plant in the Russian city of Kirovsk (Murmansk region).

Additionally, a severe fire previously occurred at the Platan Research Institute in the town of Fryazino, Moscow region.
